Children Need Their Daddy

Mommy Moment...

I always understood that children need their daddy.

Encouraging that relationship was a priority. God showed me several ways to do just that.

When Curt came home at night, he was exhausted most days (farmers put in 12 and 14 hour days on a regular basis).

I wanted the kids to be excited to see him, and him to see them. So, it became a game between the kids to race to untie Daddy's boots. They'd hear him coming through the garage, and off they'd go. They could hardly wait for him to get in the door! They'd push his pant legs up and race to see which one could untie and loosen their boot first. It is a precious memory now.

By the way, if you ask our grown daughters if they think their daddy "walks on water" they'll probably say "yes".

Mommy, you got this!
