I thought I would lose my mind because of unmatched socks. - My kids would argue that I had lost my mind long before then.

All of the negative events of my past could have driven me away from God, but I understood a little about the battle.

I began to see that I should reread the story of Jonah and see just how that all turned out for him. You know what? God loved Jonah anyway.

Our words and attitudes, when our children are tiny, often sets patterns in place that they keep throughout their lives.

I don't speak any foreign languages fluently. My kids are a different story. "Whine-ese" seemed like their native tongue at times.

I struggled with that in my own walk with God. I guess God used situations like this to teach us all several good life lessons.

Being mommy is tough, especially in today's world. Children are either devalued or held up as idols. In so many ways Mommies can't win.

God says each of us are precious to Him. His word says each person is called by God.

My family has learned to offer grace and share in the humor of my mistakes in the kitchen.

I knew what I had done the minute we turned into our driveway. I could smell the smoke!

Things don't always go as planned. Don't panic...and don't give up.

As a mommy it's easy to fall into the trap of too many words. I implore you to say what you mean and mean what you say.

I'd encourage you consider what behaviors you expect from your kids, and make a corresponding list of consequences. Then, emotion won't get

Enjoy the time you get with your littles - they grow all too soon.

Don't beat yourself up for not being perfect. Learn, make a new plan and move on.

Mommies have a huge responsibility. There will be days you just sit down and cry. But tending & training your children is so very important.
