All Tied Up

Our words and attitudes, when our children are tiny, often sets patterns in place that they keep throughout their lives.

Adjusting the Temperature

I don't speak any foreign languages fluently. My kids are a different story. "Whine-ese" seemed like their native tongue at times.

Lessons From the Farmyard

I struggled with that in my own walk with God. I guess God used situations like this to teach us all several good life lessons.

Choose Joy

My kids just love to pick on me. They love to be silly. If I had chosen to be cross, I would have missed so much joy...we all would have.

Mom...MOM...MOM!

Knowing that he would be heard gave him the assurance he needed, then he could be patient.

Farm Life

Sometimes great blessings are hidden in the midst of the hard things we go through.

Hidden Blessings

Some of our greatest blessings may not look like blessings at first. Sometimes, great blessings are hidden in the hard things we go through.

Let's Get Real

Will you get real with me? Will you help me be real? Can we lift each other up and can we walk together in truth on our motherhood journey?

Be Creative

The older kids in the group read formal book reports. Some were... well...rather dry. So we created some Biblical clothing...for bananas.

Enjoy Shopping

Using a bit of creativity and engaging them can make it fun for all of you, and you teach them life skills besides.

Work Hard/Live Well

I loved to pop in and see them while they were at work. I just wanted to encourage them and let them know I was proud of them.

Bread Dough Experiences

I remember watching my mom knead bread. In my memory I am standing near her as she works the bread at our kitchen table.

Teaching Discernment

Someone should have prepared me for the day one of those friends invited her over for a birthday party and sleep over. I wasn’t ready.
